FINRA (formerly NASD) - Series 66: Registered Agent and Investment Adviser

The Series 66 license is designed to qualify candidates as both securities agents and investment adviser representatives.

The Series 66 exam does require a co-requisite of the Series 7 license, which needs to be successfully completed in addition to the Series 66 exam before a candidate can register with a state.

To obtain your Series 66 license you should plan to spend 50 to 70 hours in preparation. The Series 66 exam is administered in 2½ hours with 100 multiple choice questions.
